Cuba added 26 new contagions from the SARS-CoV-2 virus, as reported in his daily appearance by Dr. Francisco Durán, the most visible face of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) during the pandemic and who stressed that 25 of these cases were local and one of them imported.
Of those detected yesterday, whose details are given in the MINSAP report, 24 correspond to Cubans and two to foreigners; one, the person for whom the imported case is registered, a French citizen residing in the Havana municipality of Playa.

In short, in addition to the only contagion abroad, 17 were contacts of confirmed cases and in eight the source of infection is not specified, with which there are 43 unidentified in the last 15 days. 17 were asymptomatic.
The female gender predominated this time (15-11).
The provinces that registered new patients are: Havana (20 cases from 10 municipalities), Sancti Spíritus (four cases from two municipalities) and Pinar del Río (two cases from two municipalities).
By age group, the cases are as follows: six under 20 years of age; six between 20 and 39; ten between 40 and 59; and six over 60.
At midnight yesterday, 5,049 people remained hospitalized for surveillance; 27 were discharged and two continued in intensive care: one in critical condition and the other in serious condition.
With the 7,208 samples analyzed yesterday, Cuba has processed a total of 677,952 tests in search of the new coronavirus, of which 5,943 have been positive.
