The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported 15 new COVID-19 patients in the last 24 hours, in which there were no deaths due to the disease, according to Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of epidemiology.
With the new positive cases, the number of infections on the island totaled 1,931, of which 177 remain hospitalized, Dr. Durán said at the daily press conference on the pandemic in Cuba.

Of the 15 patients diagnosed with the coronavirus this Friday, nine were women (60%) and six (40%) men.
In Havana, 13 new cases were confirmed, five of them from the Centro Habana municipality. The other two are from Matanzas and Ciego de Ávila, the latter linked to the local transmission event registered in the town of Turiguanó, in the municipality of Morón.
Two children were confirmed: one 7 years old and the other 16, although the most affected age group was 40 to 60 years, with eight cases (53.3%); 60% (9) of the positive cases were asymptomatic, according to official figures.
After 40 new medical discharges in the last 24 hours, in Cuba the number of patients recovered from the disease reached 1,671.
At the close of Friday, 631 patients hospitalized for epidemiological clinical surveillance. Another 1,699 people are under primary healthcare monitoring in their homes.
One patient is in critical condition and three others are seriously ill.
